Kansas Wesleyan University Joins SAGE Scholars Tuition RewardsKansas Wesleyan University, which draws more than half of its 800 undergraduate students from out-of-state, has joined the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards program. 45 colleges affiliated with the United Methodist Church now participate in the nation’s largest private college enrollment consortium.

Offering athletic opportunities in 25 varsity sports, the KWU Coyotes are a traditional power in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, earning 78 KCAC team championships in the past 15 years. 76% of students are athletes, enjoying the conference’s top multi-purpose sports complex. The Coyote eSports team upset Wake Forest in this year’s Esports National Collegiate tournament.

KWU’s strong fine arts, drama and music program delivers 30 events and performances a year, several in conjunction with Salina community symphony and theatre groups. The debate and forensics team has won multiple national championships. Founded in 1886, KWU also offers campus ministry opportunities, with special scholarships available to Methodist-affiliated students.

A $5 million Nursing Education Center opened this spring; in May, diplomas were handed to the first class of nursing graduates. KWU offers small classes through a 11:1 student-faculty ratio. Students can choose from 36 diverse majors. There’s a five-year dual degree program in engineering in conjunction with Washington University in St. Louis. KWU offers MBA degrees to graduate business students.

Nine Kansas private colleges now participate in Tuition Rewards.
