Offering 90 fields of study, Sterling is nationally ranked for its sports management and kinesiology / physical therapy programs. A 14:1 student-to-faculty ration ensures small classes. 75% of students complete internships; one in seven students graduates in three years.

Sterling students are active and energetic. 78% are varsity athletes. Sterling offers 19 NAIA varsity sports teams that compete and thrive in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Students have the opportunity to go on stage in six annual major theatre productions and two annual musicals. The debate team has been nationally ranked eight times.
