"The Power of AND" is not just a marketing slogan at Kansas Wesleyan University. Those four words encompass the entire KWU experience. From the role of faculty to the focus on the whole person, the word AND takes on new life at KWU.
Although Kansas Wesleyan is affiliated with the United Methodist Church, the university welcomes and supports students of all faiths and has a growing campus ministry program, designed to help nourish and foster the spiritual experience of each individual. This is part of the call of Kansas Wesleyan, to develop both intellect and character, to stimulate creativity and discovery and to nurture the whole person, all within a diverse, caring community.
KWU offers unique, strong academic programs, including the only Emergency Management bachelor's degree in Kansas. The university’s Nursing program is growing, with a $5 million on-campus Nursing Education Center. Additionally, KWU's competitive academic teams, including Debate and Forensics and DECA, are nationally recognized.
Salina is a major arts and cultural community that welcomes KWU students to perform with the Salina Symphony and participate in Salina Community Theatre. KWU also has a tradition of championship athletics!
A KWU education is more than a degree, and it's more than a line on your future job. KWU provides a comprehensive, whole-person education AND a culture that makes you part of a family. That’s just one part of The Power of AND.
